The book "Vaarwel Dood" (Farewell Death) is written by Léon Wijnen and the illustrations are produced by our talented Dorus Brekelmans.
Death is never a fun subject. But even so we realize that sooner or later we will be confronted with it. We will all lose people we love and eventually we will also make this transition ourselves. The word “transition” is chosen very specifically, because death doesn’t exist. The book “Vaarwel Dood” (Dutch for “Farewell Death”) explains why death doesn’t exist.
The primary goal of the book is to comfort those who are confronted with death. Besides that the book learns you to say goodbye to death and explains to you that there is still life after this transition. The way of writing and the colourful illustrations make the book suitable to explain the subject “death” to children as well.
